1. Summary

Atradius Dutch State Business (Atradius DSB) administers the export credit insurance facility (EKV facility) on behalf of, and for the account and risk of, the Dutch State. The Green Label is developed to identify transactions that qualify under Atradius DSB’s green instruments. Transactions are labeled as ‘green’ if the economic activity they support makes a substantial contribution to global climate objectives or other environmental goals. The Green Label methodology is based on the Climate Change Sector Understanding (CCSU) under the Arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits. Where the CCSU is insufficient, the EU Taxonomy and subsequently the Common Principles for Climate Mitigation Finance Tracking (MDB CP) are used.

The green label assessment is part of the application process for export credit insurance and advice to the State. All transactions—green and non-green—follow the standard approval process.

To determine whether a transaction can be classified as green, we ask the following questions:

The economic activity of the transaction can be checked against the Green List using the NACE sector and the description of potentially green activities on the Green List. Subsequently, the green criteria can be assessed. Please contact your ADSB account manager if you expect your transaction contributes to climate or other environmental objectives, but the economic activity of your transaction is not on this list.
